Dear RRWSC Customer,
RRWSC water rates have not increased in 6 years and due to rising costs, our expenses now exceed our income. As a result the Water Board has determined our water rates and fees need to increase. The system of 5 wells is now 20 years old, and has reached or potentially exceeded its half-life. The pump for well number 2 was just replaced and the other wells may require replacement within the next few years. The Board has investigated other local water systems, all of which presently charge higher fees than RRWSC.
The base rate will be increased from $32 to $42 for the first 2,000 gallons per month and incremental charges for additional usage will be increased. These increases can be found on this page.
The increased costs will begin with water usage starting around December 15, 2019 and will appear on your bill at the end of January 2020.
